Community Happiness Intern

Looking for help applying to college or graduate school and a great internship opportunity? Our growing Santa Monica-based startup is hiring enthusiastic, passionate interns to assist with cultivating happiness and building a strong company culture within our office. Both High School and College students looking for experience in a fast paced environment with a social mission of making a college education more accessible for everyone should apply. We’re looking for friendly, organized, tech-obsessed team players who love interfacing with people, building relationships, and coming up with creative ways to make others feel valued. Intern Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative strategies to delight customers in everyday interactions

  • Keep the SeekU studio organized and well-stocked with supplies

  • Help set up events such as team lunches, outings, and birthday celebrations

  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as running errands, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and responding to emails

  • Develop best practices manual for office maintenance

  • Assist the CEO and CTO with various projects as needed

  • Assist in developing a long-standing internship program

  • Recruit intern successor

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to receive college credit

    • High Schoolers wishing to apply can receive credit through SMC. We are happy to help you complete the necessary paperwork to do this.

  • 15-20 hours of weekly availability

  • A demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and startups (an interest in education is a plus!)

  • Ability to provide writing samples

  • Proficiency using Google Drive, managing iCal, and performing basic online research

  • A love for new technology and hunger for finding the newest productivity apps

  • A driver’s license and reliable transportation
